Special Transportation Service (STS) is a type of affordable transit intended to assist individuals that are living with a physical, mental or intellectual disability and are unable to use public transportation services such as the Miami Metrobus, Metrorail or Metromover. They are contracted by the county, any resident with a disability preventing them from riding regular transit vehicles is eligible to receive STS. This eligibility also extends to residents that may be dealing with a short-term disability.
Service is available for $3.50 per trip ride.
Qualified riders are allowed to travel with a personal care attendant (PCA) at no additional charge. Guests may also use the iTransport along with the qualified rider, though they are required to pay the fare. Seating for guests is subject to availability. And is a shuttle service It is not private direct service like Elite Transport Club. If this is a better option for you ask your customer rep or email us for more info.
